In the recent years, display manufacturers have introduced a wide range of pixel grids. These new grids exhibits some of the goals that guide manu- facturers designs: increase resolution, reduce power consumption and expand color gamut.
The objetive of this work is to explore subpixel filtering in arbitray pixel grids. Subpixel filtering has been widely studied for RGB striped devices, but little research have been conducted for the recent pixel arrangemets. Our approach to subpixel filtering is based on a visual model.
