Um método de reconhecimento sintático de caracteres para identificação de placas de veículos

Abstract: This paper proposes an automatic method system for recognizing alphanumeric characters, applied for identification of vehicle number plates. For solving the problem, it was developed a syntactic technique that joins two sets of the attributes through syntactic rules. The sets of attributes, and the syntactic rules are both detailed in this paper. All the preprocessing methods, necessary for solving the problem, are given here. The results present high quality, and processing performance is efficient.
