Because of the COVID-19 pandemic SIGGRAPH Asia 2020 goes virtual for the first time. The conference celebrates this year’s innovation, advances and achievements in computer graphics, interactive techniques and beyond.
The V-Horus Experience
The V-Horus Experience was selected by a jury of experts in the immersive fields be part of the VR Theater main program — a showcase of the best VR narrative content.
Our piece shows a virtual recreation of the mummy known as Kherima that was destroyed in the 2018 fire at the National Museum. The experiment, which explores techniques of virtual reality, digital reconstruction and immersive narrative, enables a new approach between the public and the artifact.
