Virtual recreation of the exceptional mummy who lived during the Roman Period in Egypt. It was destroyed in the fire that occurred in 2018.

Participants will again see a mummy that was lost in the National Museum fire through a virtual reality visualization.

Our work was selected by a jury of experts in the field of immersive experiences to be part of the VR_Theater – a showcase of the best virtual reality narrative content for this new medium.

Our paper is part of the Scientific Programme of the prestigeous 18h Eurographics Workshop on Graphics and Cultural Heritage.

This project is the result of a partnership of the Museu Nacional with the laboratories NEXT and EAI, of PUC-Rio, with the VISGRAF Laboratory of IMPA and with Fiocruz.
