This project aims to study archeological artefacts through digital technology. More specifically, it focuses on 3D reconstruction and visualization of the Egypt collection of the Museu Nacional .
The Mummy from Roman Period
Mummy of a young woman, who lived about 2,000 years ago in Egypt during the Roman Period. This piece, was part of the collection of the Museu Nacional, RJ.
Virtual recreation of the exceptional mummy who lived during the Roman Period in Egypt. It was destroyed in the fire that occurred in 2018.
Participants will again see a mummy that was lost in the National Museum fire through a virtual reality visualization.
SIGGRAPH Asia 2020
Our work was selected by a jury of experts in the field of immersive experiences to be part of the VR_Theater – a showcase of the best virtual reality narrative content for this new medium.
