Wikipedia lists 14 screen adaptations of The Tempest for TV and film. In our creative process, two films can be highlighted:
- The Tempest (2010), directed by Julie Taymor and featuring Helen Mirren in the role of Prospera.
- The Tempest (1908), a Clarendon production directed by Percy Stow. It’s a short movie (12 minutes) believed to be the first adaptation of The Tempest to film.
